Age Verification Policy

18 and over only

SILKENNEST sells adult products to customers aged 18 and over. This is a condition of sale rather than a formality, and it is checked twice: once when the order is placed and once when the parcel is delivered.

Confirmation at checkout

Before an order can be completed you confirm your date of birth and declare that you are 18 or over. A false declaration is a breach of the Terms of Service, and an order placed on behalf of a minor is canceled and refunded in full.

Confirmation on delivery

Parcels are shipped with an adult signature requirement. The carrier may ask for photo identification matching the name on the order, and a parcel will not be left at a door, with a neighbor or in a locker. This protects both sides: it keeps the goods out of the hands of a minor and confirms the parcel reached the person who ordered it.

If a delivery is refused

Where identification cannot be produced, or where the recipient declines to sign, the parcel returns to us. The order is then refunded less the shipping charge, because the carrier has already performed the delivery attempt.

What we record

We record that an age declaration was made and that a delivery was confirmed, together with the date. We keep identification documents only if they are sent to us, and they are deleted once a claim or a verification question is closed. Full detail sits in the Privacy Policy.

Repeat verification failures

Where verification fails more than once on the same address or card, we may decline further orders to that address. If you believe that decision is wrong, write to the service desk and a person will review the record rather than an automated rule.
